LOUISIANA TAX FREE SHOPPING

In U.S.A., Louisiana is the only state the foreign tourist can be refund consumption tax.

The foreign tourist who has own passport and a ticket to return to one's country in 90 days can be applyed this system.

If you can be applyed this system, don't forget to receive voucher when you buy something. After then, you take it to Tax Refund Center, you can be refund consumption tax.

Over 1000 shops are members of this system.

I recomend the hat shop in this mall. There are a lot of wonderful hats at reasonable price. I found a fine leather hat made in Australia here and I was so grateful.

You can get Beignet Mix here and bring the taste of New Orleans back to your house. You can buy Chicory coffee, too.

There are lots of shops and super markets treat "Cafe du Mond" brand, so don't forget to check the price. Sometime you'll pay more money for same thing.

WASHBOARD

Sorry, but this isn't a name of a shop. A washboard is one of the important instrument in New Orleans music. They make rhythm and groove of New Orleans beats. They reformed an ordinary washboard to suspend from the shoulders and upgraded it's playability.

My bandmate and I intended to get it, but we couldn't because it was difficult to bring it into the plain to Japan. Though, don't give up. You'll be able to find out the shop can send it all over the world.

If you want to play New Orleans music, THis is a must.
