We saw REBIRTH BRASS BAND, BUCKWHEAT ZYDECO, KOKO TAYLOR and THE funky METERS, here. All of the audience enjoy themselves. There are no other place like this in the earth. It's heaven for me.

Jazzfest is one of the most important musical and cultural event. It's held in the last weekend of April - the first weekend of May, every year.

There are 10 characteristic stages in Fair Grounds. Not only music expo, it's a proud showcase of the authentic heritage of Louisiana and New Orleans.

Remember! Sunglasses, a hat or a cap and a rainwear are must items for Jazzfest.

CRAFTS

You can shop contemporary crafts, Congo crafts, Louisiana folk crafts, etc.

There are police stations, information desks, first aids, public water, public telephones, post offices in Feir Grounds. You only enjoy yourself.

FOOD

There are many kind of food tent. Cajun jambalaya, shrimp etouffee, fried green tomatoes, BBQ alligator po-boy, red beans & rice, file gumbo. You can eat any Louisiana style cuisine you like.

I ate an alligator po-boy. We ate catfish bread, also. It's like a cod fish. Boiled crawfish is our favorite.

RHODES/WYLD GOSPEL TENT

Something will be happened at gospel tent. Amen.

All the groups won't be always superior.

PROGRAMS, T-SHIRTS, POSTERS

Don't forget to buy the official jazzfest progam guide book. It will include food discount coupons inside. And it will be a good souvenir.

As a souvenir, T-shirts or posters will be good. There were a few kind of T-shirts. All of them were nice and funky. One of them is my favorite.
