FRENCH QUARTER

FOOD

Of course, Cuisine in New Orleans is special, too. You'll be able to have fine dinings easier than any others.

cajun & creole

cajun
Spicy and rich.
Crawfish Bisque, Andouille...etc.

creole
Sauce based cuisine cooked with spices and herbs.
Oyster Rockfeller, Red Beans and Rice...etc.

DIXIE
Local beer. Try some with raw oysters. Yammy!

CRAWFISH

Crawfish is one of popular foodstuff and you can try it anywhere in New Orleans. But we can't eat it in Japan for sanitary reason. So, we didn't know the taste of crawfish. These crawfish were boiled with lots of seasonings. Little bit hot, but taste good like a shrimp.

Crawfish pies are also available. <See JAZZ FEST page>

GUMBO SHOP

630 Saint Peter St.
525-1486

Lunch and dinner daily

My favprite restaurant in New Orleans. Near Jackson square. Reasonable. Not so formal. I recomend their Seafood Gumbo. Their patio had good atmosphere but we couldn't see what we ate.

ORIGINAL PAPA JOE'S

600~610 Burbon St.
529-1728

If you want to have Jambaraya, please try theirs. Their Jambaraya is different from any others. Excellent. Their Rare Oyster's good, too.

PAT O'BRIEN'S

718 St. Peter St.
525-4823

Well known as the first bar served Hurricane Cocktail. If you want their cocktail glass as a souvenir, you can get it with extra money.

You don't like sweet cocktail? Don't worry. They serve Cajun Bloody Marry, also. Let's try it.

CAFE DU MONDE

800 Decatur St.
524-4544

Open 24 hours

Cafe du monde is well known for their Beignet. You can eat beignets at any cafes in New Orleans, but don't forget to try theirs! Reasonable but yammy.
