HISTORY

Year 1999-2000
It all started four years ago, when I first started in the UIBE.

In my class, there was only one person that we used to get along together. His name was Takeda, (from Japan).
And it was his rock apearance, that made me feel more comfortable with him, then anyone else.
At the time, there was only one domitory around, and so all foreign students, where quite close to each other. So one day, I could hear rock music coming from one of the rooms.
I walked around to see where was the music coming from, and realized, it was from Takedas' room.
As you well guessed, I knocked his door, only to find that he was lying on his bed, playing the guitar.
We spent some time playing music, and getting to understand better each other, and on that day,
the concept for a band was born.

When the classes started no a regular base, we advertised for musicians, to join the band.
A few days later, another Japanese guy, Ueno Yastaka, became our third member. Having a very large amplifier in his little room, and playing very loud, (not to mention his strong personality and presence)
we new that we were on our way to start a band as we wanted it to be.

Ueno also brought another member with him.
A friend of his, who was playing the drums, and had a whole set in his room. His name was Adom (from Canada).

We then had enough people, to start practicing, though we were still looking for a vocalist.
Also through the "Foreign student office", we managed to find a place to practice, (Thanks for that!!!).
Then, a student from the US came to join the band as a singer. His name was Chris, and he was studying Chinese language in the UIBE.
Along came a few more people comming to do backing vocals. Jeany, (from Korea), Pazzy (from the US,),
and Manago (from Japan) who also played the saxophone, as well as singing
sometimes in Chinese, (his Chinese were excellent).

Year 2000-2001
After one year, there was a small change in our band. Jeany and Pazzy, had finished their courses in the uni, so they had to leave. We had a great time with them, and felt sorry to see them leaving.
It appeared though, that this was the first of many changes, to come.

Soon, we had to look for a new singer. So Dane came on board.
Also from the US. But a ne guitarist joined as well.
His name was Ganda, (from Indonisia).
On our last perfomance with Ganda, we went live on CCTV, and I remember this period of the UIBE band, to be a successfyl one.
Ganda, graduated after that, so once again, we were on the search for new members.

Year 2001-?
Chris, was the next in line to graduate, so when he left, we were in great need for members.
In that time of need, we came across Mthihiro, (yes.....he is Japanese), who breathed a fresh air into the band, and brought everyone closer to each other.
Soon after that, we found a new singer. Jeori, (form Holland). With his big motor bike, and his rock atitude, (and his beautifull Chinese girlfriend), our band was again complete.

I don't want to say that the history of he UIBE band it's finished,
because our story will go on
for our friendship is endless
and everlasting.

Thank you for your time.
