PROFILE

Sherry is a singer/songwriter from Vancouver, Canada.  She wanted to be a fashion model when she was young.  Then she became an actress for TV dramas, but she realized music was her life, and decided to move to New York with only a few hundred dollars.  She had vocal training under the voice trainer of Cyndi Lauper; vocal coaches, Katie and Maryjo Agresta, and she performed in many clubs calling CBGB, the Palladium.  A famous producer of Aerosmith, Dave Wittman, produced her demo tape, but he and Sherry couldn't make a deal with the major record companies.  Back in Toronto, her song MOUNTAIN BIRD, received a national award and she made a music video of it in the Joshua Tree Desert (LA).  Later, another of her songs, TAKE ME BACK, would receive another prize.  Both songs are included in this CD.  Then she moved to London and made several recordings.  After that, the big change came.  She had been interested in Japanese culture and tradition for long time, so she decided to move to Japan.  Sherry renewed her life in the center of Japanese tradition, Kyoto.  Years passed by slowly and peaceful in this old capital city.  And finally, she edited her tapes which she'd recorded all over the world, and compiled this debut CD in October 6, 2004.
