NORTRERN SWMER Route EASTBOUND 12-DAY

TRIP Now 2 days longer including a stop at Niagara Falls and more time in Yellowstone!

Day1:Experience the Green Tortoise "miracle" on your first night as we depart San Francisco At 9PM for an overnight drive to Nevada.

Day2.3.4:Your first morning on the bus opens the door to the Rye Patch Reservoir where you can refresh yourself with a morning swim before or after breakfast. At our evening stop in northeastern Nevada. Enjoy a scenic dinner and soak tense muscles and worries away in the local hot springs. Balance this mellow mood with an optional white-water rafting adventure on the Snake or Salmon River the next day. Or hang out in Jackson Role. Wyoming. And see what else this trendy town has to offer your outdoor soul. Camping overnight under the stars and trees of the Gros Ventre National Forest.

Day 5.6.7You can, help dream of the Grand Teton we Grand Teton National Park; you can explore Jenny Lake and hike Paintbrush Canyon Trail to a snow-fed lake located high in the mountains surrounded by wildflowers that give this trail its name. We stay the night at Coulter Bay Campsite on a picturesque lake with a view of the Grand Teton that will take your breath away! We then journey to Yellowstone National Park where you can pay a visit to Old Faithful, hike through Painted Pots (a natural geothermal phenomenon of colorful bubbling pools). And continue up to Artist Point, also known as "the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone." A cam-pout night here in Yellowstone gives us an extra day to slowly make our way out the northern entrance, taking in a few more sites along the way, including an evening stop at Mammoth Hot Springs. After dinner, we drive eastward to South Dakota to get lost in the Badlands and check out its famous rock formations. We then pull into Nellie CUNY's Cafe on Pine Ridge (Indian tic Native American meal, sleep on top of the world at our mountain mesa campsite. After breakfast, we travel to Scenic.

Day8.9South Dakota to admire some Native American artifacts that are displayed in the Longhorn Saloon and Trading Post before venturing into the Great Plains. Breakfast on the Mississippi and a short drive take us into Chicago, where some rhythm and blues await us in one of the many downtown clubs. Continuing eastward, we stop along the Great Lakes for a meal on our way to Niagara Falls.

Day10.11Our stop in Niagara is on the U.S. side from where you can either walk across or take the Maid of the Mist boat ride to the Canadian side for a better view of this natural wonder!

Day12:We have our last campout in New York, and the following morning arrive in New York City to drop off some of our friends. We then continue to Hartford. Connecticut for further farewells before reaching the final destination of Boston later in the evening.
