94年に《Incident.net》を創設した中心人物。
ポンピドゥー・センターのサイト作成を手がける一方、後に「サンプリング・プロジェクト」としてまとめられる独創的なオンライン物語作品を次々と発表していく。
Google、Flickr、YouTube、Flashといったオンライン型のテクノロジーと死・愛・政治といった普遍的な主題を結びつけていくウェブ世代の詩人。
